Your top-up
questions, answered plainly
Air SMS sends airtime, data and bundles across borders in seconds. Below are the 9 questions people ask most before their first send. Cost first, then speed, then the paperwork.
Price, fees and exchange rates
What leaves your account, and why the number never moves after you tap pay.
-
Do you add a margin to the exchange rate?
No. The rate you see on screen is the rate we use.
We charge the top-up value plus one clear service fee. Both sit on the checkout page before you pay. There is no second rate hiding inside the conversion.
-
Can I pay in my own currency?
Yes. Pick your currency and we show the whole cost in it.
Your recipient still gets credit in their local currency. We handle the swap and show you both sides of it first.
-
What happens if a top-up fails?
You get the money back. A failed load is refunded to the card you paid with.
Some networks reject a load when a line is barred or out of use. We tell you why, so you can fix the number and try again.
Speed, networks and coverage
How the credit gets from your card to a phone in another country.
-
Does a top-up really land in seconds?
Most do. Our average delivery time is five to seven seconds.
We hold direct links to more than 230 Tier-1 and Tier-2 networks. That cuts out the middle hop most resellers add. Busy hours and a few strict markets can stretch it, and your status page shows the wait in real terms.
-
How do you know which network a foreign number uses?
Type the number and pick the country. We match it to the network ranges for that market.
The network we found is shown before you pay. Numbers do move between carriers. If our guess looks wrong, change it in one tap.
-
Where can I send credit?
Airtime, data and bundles reach more than 80 countries.
Browse by region to see the networks in each market and the bundle sizes they sell. Prices show before you commit to anything.
Receipts, repeats and card safety
The record keeping, the set-and-forget schedule, and what we never store.
-
Do I get a receipt I can keep?
Every top-up writes a PDF receipt to your account. A copy goes to your email too.
Your history sits in one place. Filter by month, country or recipient, then pull the set down for your own books.
-
Can a top-up repeat on its own?
Yes. Save a recipient, set the amount, then choose weekly or monthly.
We send the credit on schedule and email the receipt each time. Pause it, change the amount or stop it whenever you like. You stay in full control.
-
Are my card details safe with you?
We run to PCI-DSS Level 1, the strictest card security tier there is.
Card data is never kept on our own servers. Traffic is encrypted end to end, from your browser to the network that loads the credit.
